Becoming an organ donor can help so many people… with the gift of life. What is better, than the gift of life!!!

I’ve been an organ donor since as long as I can remember. I think it is a wonderful gift you can give to “pay it forward”. While, I don’t know anyone personally who has benefited, I have heard and read stories and they are very compelling. Everyone should register. (Oh, and I do absolutely adore the talents of Phil Vasser and commend him and US99 for becoming involved in such this life saving cause!)

I have been an organ donor and so have my children for as long as I can remember.. It is so important for us to help as many people as possible if something tragic should happen.. People should know that our bodies are just a vessel for our soul and it should be standard practice that everyone be an organ donor. So many people would be saved..

I was and am a registered donor, it’s something I strongly believe in. I am coming up on a year since I donated my kidney to a man I met online. We have become friends, and I get to talk with him every week. To hear what he sounded like before we knew if I would be accepted as his donor, to the way he sounds now is truely wonderful. My recipient is very gracious for the gift of life. He now goes and counsols those on dialysis, and is moving full steam ahead! Knowing that I could help even more people have a more postive longer life, after I’m gone would make me feel so much better

I am and have always been a donor…..and I was blessed with a donor lung in August 08. Lucky me and thanksgiving to the donor’s family. Every time I get a chance I give a little speech about organ donation. DLI is a great organization and very creative in stepping up the registration. Wearing organ donation clothing is a great way to get the talk rolling.

Mom was an organ donor when she passed away in 1997. I think often of the people she probably helped. God bless you all.

I am a supporter of donate life because my sister was a 2-time heart recipient. Her first transplant was in 1982 and her second in 1990.

I was always an organ donor but after my brother died at 27 from a bee sting, I saw organ donation in a different way. I always knew how much people benefit from recieving organs, but never realized how much closure it could offer the family of the donor. My brother ended up donating to 5 other people, some days away from dying, and it suddenly gave us a “reason” as to why he died, when before there was no explanation. Now my family & I able to keep in contact with the recipients and are able to hear first-hand how my brothers death has changed their lives! Organ donation is a wonderful thing to be a part of and in so many ways!

Organ tissue donation to me is a no brainier. I would only hope others would be able to benefit from the gift of giving.

I signed up to be an organ donor when I first recieved my drivers license at sixteen. I have always thought it to be a very important thing to donate organs. I feel that if I am gone and my organs could help someone else to live then I am doing my part to show my love for the world and for the human race. Pay it forward and Donate Life… Done Vida

My friend and co-worker is alive today because someone had the foresight to donate his kidney and other body parts in the event of his untimely death.

I learned first hand why people need to be organ donors. Three years ago my beautiful daughter who is diabetic almost died. (by medical standards she should have) they said the only way she would live would be to have a triple transplant. (liver, kidney and pancreas). It was only by the grace of God that she lived and WITHOUT having a transplant!! We were basically waiting for someone to die that Thanksgiving weekend, to save my daughter’s life. I am so grateful she survived and give all the glory to God for that, but it could have turned out horribly bad. Some one unselfish enough to give life in their death is the most amazing gift!! Thank you to all who are donors!!
