Carrie Underwood
Yup, I said it.
You may recall that we were handing out tickets to a private Carrie Underwood show in Chicago last week as part of a partnership with US99.
As you might guess, those went mighty quick.
BUT, we’ve got your back. We just happen to have 20 autographed copies of Carrie Underwood’s new CD, Play On…and we want to give them away.
Thus, we’ve made it pretty simple to win a CD. Ready??!
1. If you haven’t already, be sure to
of Donate Life Illinois on Facebook!
2. Assuming you’ve OF COURSE already registered as a donor in Illinois, be sure to encourage your friends to do the same using our tell-a-friend tool!
3. Leave a comment below and tell us why you support organ donation! NOTE - the first 20 people to comment will be who we select to win a CD, so when commenting, use the email you like to be contacted at!
Good luck!

I support Organ donation because of the positive things it has done in my life. Not to me directly, but to those I love. More specifically a family member of mine is still alive today because of an organ that was given to them. It is because of the grace and mercy from those who pass on, or just give an organ because they can that many of us have our loved ones walking around with us. I am an organ donor and hope that when ever I pass on, I will be able to give someone the ultimate gift; the gift of life by donating my organs.

I support Organ Donation because giving life and hope to others whom are less fortunate is so important! There are so many unfortunate events that happen to both children and adults that we cannot control, unless we donate life!

I support organ donation because a donated liver gave my best friend Mom’s a second chance in life. Because of all of the hard efforts and countless hours Donate a Life puts in, others like her get a second blessing. Second chances are like gifts from heaven. We all have a chance to give those gifts by donating. Please donate today. May God Bless you All!!!

I am a huge supporter, now more than ever of Organ Donation. After recently losing a friend and such a WONDERFUL person to Cystic Fybrosis, the need for more people to become organ donor is so clear! I have been doing EVERYTHING I can to spread the word, and get people to sign up! At a recent benefit that we had for Jade, we had sign up sheet for people to take and register themselves! I only wish more people would sign up! One donor can have SUCH an impact on so many peoples lives!! If you are not a donor and you are reading this… please consider becoming one today!!!!

I support organ donation, because I know from experience that the family of the recipient will be forever grateful to the family of the donor. I am an organ donor because I want my death to result in someone else living.

I support organ because of something were ever to happen to me, I know I would be helping many different people after I die. I would hope that my friends and family would find some comfort in the fact that one death could help prevent 25 others. To me, that is worth it.

My life has been pretty darned great – I’d like to think that I can pass something on so that a handful of folks have the chance for a great life, too!

I support organ donation because one life can save SO many. There is so much tragedy in the world but when you can turn something tragic into a gift…into life…there is no greater good.

Four years ago, almost 5 years now my daughte who is 8 yrs old was diagnosed with hydronephrosis with grade 5 reflux. the reflus was fixed but her kidneys were so damaged by all the infection her kidneys were beyond repair!! we were told that sometime in her life she would need a kidney transplant and so far defying all odds she has bypassed a transplant. so fat we have been put on and taken off dialysis not once but twice!!! A true gift from God!! but if not for organ donors people would not get a second chance in life!!! thank you to all of you who are signed up and to those of you have donated an organ or had a loved one who passed away but lives on as a donor in someone’s loved one

I am a donor because I want to be able to help people in their time of need. I always wanted to put my “stamp” on the world and I feel that this is a great way to be able to do that and help!

Organ donation is another way to go green and to recycle. If I die, I don’t need my organs anymore, so why shouldn’t they go to someone who needs them?

I support organ donations, it is a chance for someone to gain their life back after someone’s life has ended. Christ died and rose again to give us a new life, thru Christ we have a better outlook on life. With organ donations we can also give someone a better outlook on life.

Organ donation is one of the best things you can do in life being that you give a second chance to someone who might not have another option.

I support organ donation because it has shown the world what a hero my son was! Through his tragedy, lives were saved, hope was given, and hearts were touched. Every single person I talk to now about transplantation, every myth I dispell, every mind I change; my son saves that many more lives! Thank you for giving me that platform.

Three and a half years ago my son received a gift that saved not only his life, but his quality of life. I can never repay that gift or adequately express what that has meant to our family and friends. But I can make each day count and support the cause that made that gift possible. Thank you.

I know quite a few people that have gone through transplants. One I was the chair of the benefit. He had a pacreas and kidney. Right now a friend of my daughters had bone marrow. We did a drive for that also. He is not doing great right now, but we keep praying. He is only 18 and his name is Matt. Keep him in your prayers.

I believe in the donate life program. I became a living donor in Febuary of 2009. To see how great the kidney recipient is doing after the transplant is a true blessing. Before becoming a living donor, I signed my drivers license to be an organ donor, and now seeing how much a kidney donation has helped my new friend, I would gladly donate my organs when my time is up, if they can be used to help others out!

I received my gift of life 22 years ago. A new kidney from a deceased donor. Over the years I have seen the waiting list grow and grow…. how can that be? I know how organ donation has not only changed my life but the lives of my family and friends. We have all become advocates, spreading the word, answering questions, educating…God bless all organ donors and their families.

I have nominated myself to being an organ donor after the passing of my brother 9 years ago. We as a family made the decision to donate his organs to help others in need. It’s a comforting feeling to know he helped others. He’s still alive in our hearts and others…
